London Underground Map
What does it cost to travel on the London underground?

For tourists or other non-residents, not needing to travel in the morning peak
period, the all day travelcard is the best ticketing option available. These are
available from any underground station. These cost around £6.60 and allow
unlimited travel on the network from 9:30am onwards for the rest of the day.
This provides excellent value for money and a huge saving considering one
single journey on the network can cost close to £5. Travelcards for multiple
days are also available.

This is Turner's lament for the passing of the age of the great sailing ships. The Téméraire was a grand ship who had played a distinguished role in Nelson's victory at the battle of Trafalgar in 1805, and who now suffered the indignity of being towed away to a ship breaking yard by a modern steam tug.
